Overview
Luigi's Mansion 3 invites players into the towering, haunted Last Resort hotel. When Mario and friends go missing, the green-clad hero, Luigi, must confront his fears to save them. This adventure requires players to catch ghosts and solve puzzles across themed floors, utilizing the all-new Poltergust G-00.
In the main story mode, players can experience a deep two-player co-op adventure. Luigi and his all-green doppelganger, Gooigi, work together to overcome obstacles. Gooigi possesses unique abilities, allowing him to slip through tight spaces and walk on spikes, helping Luigi tackle challenges he cannot alone. Players can switch between controlling Luigi and Gooigi in single-player, or let a friend play as Gooigi for a seamless two-player experience.
Beyond the main adventure, the game offers extensive multiplayer fun. Players can enter the ScareScraper for up to 8-player local wireless or online co-op gameplay, competing in a Team Luigi vs. Team Gooigi mini-game battle. For more mini-game madness, teams can compete together at the ScreamPark. Each floor of the Last Resort is uniquely themed, from the décor to the puzzles and boss encounters, ensuring varied and engaging gameplay.
The Poltergust G-00 is central to the gameplay, offering three key functions: the Slam to pummel ghosts, the Suction Shot to break through defenses, and the Burst to blow back groups of enemies. Whether you are exploring the atmospheric, ghoulish décor alone, or working with friends to rescue toads and defeat ghosts, the cinematic sights and sounds of the Last Resort will keep you captivated.
For those playing on the Nintendo Switch Lite, detached Joy-Con controllers are required and sold separately. The game supports both Story mode (Solo and Co-op) and Scarescraper (Solo and Co-op), though co-op features may require additional accessories.
